"This activity is an anticipatory measure against a number of animal diseases that are currently on the rise, such as Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD), and anthrax," he added.
During the activity, the Sub-agency also handed over aid to the sacrificial committee in the form of 50 knives and 50 tarpaulin packages.
Meanwhile, Secretary of South Jakarta City Government, Mukhlisin affirming the commitment to ensure that the implementation of the slaughter of sacrificial animals meets technical requirements to guarantee the quality of sacrificial meat that meets the criteria of safe, healthy, wholesome, and halal (ASUH).
He reminded that sacrificial animal slaughterhouses must meet technical requirements and consider environmental aspects. This aligns with Gubernatorial Instruction No. 5 of 2026 about the Waste Sorting and Processing Movement at Source.
"Through this socialization, it is hoped that the sacrificial committee will understand the procedures for halal slaughter and the processing of sacrificial meat so that the meat received by the mustahik remains healthy, high quality, tayib, and does not produce a lot of waste from the packaging used," he stated.
